How hard is it to write a novel in one month?

Last month's challenge for 30 submissions: 2 sales to children's magazines. 1 agent reject. 3 editor rejects.

I'm half way to the required 60,00 words.
It's hard to carve out time and rev up the mind to a time long ago. My story takes place fifty years ago on Okinawa.

Do you wonder when your manuscript is finished?  I don't let that stop me from sending it out.
It has to leave home sometime. So, I bless it and send it on its way. Sometimes we hold ourselves back.
